Thrash beginnings, June 15, 2011

I've been waiting for this to be re-released, along with a lot of other gems. I'm not sure exactly why European metal has gone the way it has now, most I actually don't class as Metal, more along the lines of distorted pop songs. Sorry if you don't like that opinion, but hey. But this was in the days when German thrash was forefront of a great movement of bands and these guys were very early in the piece. Not overly intricate but very good earnest metal played by a young band with fire in their bellies. Underneath bands like Sodom, Destruction and Kreator in recognition size, along with bands like Protector and Necronomican, they had their input in a time to be remembered fondly when fans from Europe wanted something savage and dirty, not today when everyone is wearing make-up and multi-thousand dollar wardrobes and stage props. Think what followed Motorhead and Venom.
