A spooky abduction story,

Like the title says, this story was spooky. Try to imagine what it must be like to be subjected to forces beyond your control and learning to live with it. By the end, the reader is left to his/her own decision as to how malevolent the forces are. Well worth the read.

Alien abduction. It's a subject that's been written to death, or so I thought, until encountering this book. E. J. Deen has written one hell of a novel. The pacing is relentless, the characters are believable, and the abductions are chilling. There are some seriously disturbing scenes in this book, so I wouldn't recommend it for the faint of heart. The scene where the entity was staring down at Grey, immobilized on a table, was so visceral that I had to sleep with the light on that night... Something I haven't done in years.--Possible spoiler below--- My only qualm about the book is its title. I went into the book thinking that the entities were, like the title, wholly malevolent. There is some ambiguity as to their intentions, so the reader can draw his or her own conclusions about their motives. I like that the author didn't try to make the aliens purely evil--she leaves open the possibility that they are acting for a valid purpose that is simply beyond the ability of humans to understand. I'm eagerly awaiting more from this author!

Alien visitation that made me hide under the covers.,
This review is from: Malevolent (Kindle Edition)
This book was a slow build. In the beginning, you know right away that something is going on, but you're not sure what. E. J. Deen really works it in this book, keeping the suspense and the mystery going. I liked the way the story flowed and kept me guessing. I hope I never meet anything like what Elliott saw. Scary.

I'm not normally a fan of alien abduction stories, but this one grabbed me from the start and kept me reading. The detail with which the author sets the scene is exquisitely creepy! I normally draw out the reading of a good book over several weeks, but I finished this one in 3 days...just couldn't put it down. I highly recommend you read Malevolent.

Started reading it and couldn't stop. Had goose bumps right from reading the prologue. Author really makes you feel like you are there. I don't want to give anything away, it was intriguing and had my attention from start to finish. Enjoyed it.

If you like alien abduction themes, this is a really cool book. I liked the way the author presented the material. E. J. Deen also writes as C. D. Blizzard, an author who lays it all out there. She manages to keep the reader focused and engaged no matter what she writes.
