I have tried several well water / hard water type shampoos. Malibu 2000 Well Water Action Shampoo is, by far, the very best I have ever used. Malibu 2000 leaves my hair squeeky clean. I love it... and I recommend it to everyone who uses well water.

My hair was such a wreck - we have a well. My hair dresser kept cutting the damaged ends and my hair got shorter and shoter (not what I want.) This truly saved my hair. When I went for my last cut my stylist couldn't believe the change. I miss the lather of my old stuff but my hair thanks me.

I live on a country property with lots of iron and other minerals in the water -- very hard on hair, especially lightened hair like mine. Malibu 2000 has done a great job of keeping down the mineral build up and keeping up my hair color. I like the fresh fragrance and with the conditioner it keeps my hair soft and in good condition.

I don't have a well, I just have very, very low water pressure. I live on a rise on a mountain - can't get much higher. So even though I have city water, my pressure is not a gushing torrent, but rather a pitiful little spill of heavily chlorinated stuff (comes from nearby Lake Keowee). I have been having a terrible problem rinsing the shampoo out of my hair and had gone from silky fine, long shiny hair to clumps of coated straw-like mess that broke off in my brush or comb. I bought four or five showerheads that claimed to deliver more water pressure, but even though I found one that works better than the others, it wasn't the cure I was seeking. I had resigned myself to having this awful hair as a trade to living where I do.

I changed my tactics last week and, instead of searching the options in showerheads, I came to amazon and entered "hard water shampoo". Malibu Well Water Shampoo popped up and I am so glad it did! I can't praise this stuff enough. It took two showers to rid my hair of all the other shampoo buildup (I can't bear to think of that!) and bring back the nice soft and shiny hair I used to have. I can't imagine ever using anything else now. I also got the conditioner on the chance that the shampoo worked. I couldn't imagine using conditioner when I couldn't even rinse the shampoo out, but now I use it, too, and I'm just knocked out by the difference in my hair before Malibu and after. I'm so hooked!

I was first introduced to this product by my stylist. Well water seriously dulls my color, but this product helps keep my color fresh in between trips to the salon. If you have well water and color treated hair, this is a great product. The conditioner also works great.

This product does work as long as you continuously use it. I wish they had conditioner, too, though.

We have very hard well water with lots of iron and sulfur and God knows what other minerals. My hair was dry and brittle and my color would not hold. I bought this shampoo and the conditioner and it was amazing! My hair was so soft and the color is now staying longer. I truly believe in this shampoo and I highly recommend it to anyone with well water. You will not be disappointed!

Sulfate-free shampoos are all the hype, and with this new house and ridiculously hard water, I couldn't have found a better shampoo. Less tangles. Less damage. Less ORANGE. I don't think I will purchase this from the same company again. The shipping is just outrageous, honestly.

I have my hair highlighted blonde and have well water at home. Even though I have a water softener system treating my water it doesn't eliminate all the minerals. My hair would turn brassy within a month. My stylist recommended this product and I have been able to extend my color treatments out 3 months!!!

Bought this product because I have well water and my hair was going to the dogs. I know it sometimes depends on what kind of well water you have (each can have different minerals and different levels of excess), so it might be more prudent to spend the money on a water test instead. But this product did nothing for me and I am looking to give it away.

What ended up working for me is using simple baking soda to clean hair once a week followed by an apple cider vinegar rinse (sometimes with a teaspoon of honey added). Much cheaper!

I do like the Malibu Packet treatments though. Use those about once a month.
