I got this as a replacement for the hammock that came with a WalMart set (self-standing frame & hammock). While it was a bit longer by a few inches, most noticeable was the way the replacement had much smaller diameter ropes; actually most noticeable was the way the hammock sank at least a foot lower when laid in. We're talking about almost (1") touching bottom! After moving the two mounts back and even trying to take up slack by wrapping the rope around the wooden end pieces, we finally used it as is for about a month and then passed it on. Next season (the metal frame was stored) we'll either get a much heavier-duty hammock or buy an entirely new set.

I order this hammock April 19, and received it a little over a week later. Today is May 26. My husband and I have probably been in this hammock less than 10 times since we have gotten it. We loved it at first, however, as of last night, we went out side to get in, and two of the stings had come loose from the knots by the rings that hold the hammock in the tree. At first we weren't too too concerned, as it was only two out of... I don't know... 10 from each side, well, as I tossed my blanket in the hammock so I could get in, two more strings came loose, and after applying pressure to the knots, two more strings lost their 'tightness.'
I've contacted RMS about a return, as I know we're outside of their return window and all... and I will accept an exhange with caution, but frankly, if I buy another one... I will not buy this one again. I read some other reviews were people would talk about how their hammock would not last more than a year, and I wasn't concened with spending $30 a year on a hammock, but $30 a month is ridiculous!! Go for a different hammock.
