Couldn't find this item in a store anymore. Found easily on amazon, which saved us from having to buy a whole new system. Good price and arrived quickly.

My original power pack died from the heat and age. I couldn't find another one in any of the stores around here. I was delighted to find this exact replacement on Amazon. I replaced the worn out one with this one in about 2 minutes and have been happy not to have to turn the lights on manually every night.

I have low voltage lights on my patio and in a window well. This transformer performs OK until the timer quits working. That's why I had to replace it. The old one is still functional but it renders itself worthless without the timer. I'm not about to go out and manually turn it on/off for it to work. This will be my third transformer. The first one was great because it went on/off based on light conditions. It was much simpler but quite expensive. That one totally stopped working so I decided to replace it with a cheaper one. The first cheaper one lasted almost 3 years. This year I wrapped it in protective water proof material so it's not subject to the elements. I'm not sure if that will help or not. I found the ML88T to be much cheaper on Amazon as apposed to purchasing it at Lowes or Home Depot.

This an excellent device for your yard lighting I would suggest purchasing this item to everyone.

I bought this as a replacement for an old power-pack/timer. It's been operating for over a month now with no problems. These are inherently easy to install and use. I do recommend installing the timer off the ground, per the instructions; previous timer was on the ground and got infested by ants and was subject to getting rain water runoff in it -- probably why I had to replace it!
Great price when I bought it, and prompt delivery.

This has been working fine - just what we needed to run a few low-voltage lights

We purchased this item to replace a similar unit in which the timer had failed. What we recently discovered is that the timer does NOT control the power to the transformer. The timer controls the low voltage output to the lights; which may put less stress on the timer, but otherwise is unsatisfactory. The transformer hum is much louder than the previous unit. Our timer is located in the front hall closet which should prolong the life of the unit, but the transformer hums day and night, no matter whether the timer is on or off. This is not only irritating is also not efficient from an energy-saving perspective. We should have paid more for a better model.

Lightning zapped my original Malibu Transformer. This is THE ORIGINAL replacement. True, sometimes you can find a whole new kit for just a few dollars more but if the rest of your setup is in good shape as mine was, the Transformer/Timer got me going again in just a few days.

I had purchased a starter light set about a year ago from Lowes. The power pack fell apart, so I needed to find a basic replacement. Unfortunately, any of the power packs for sale in the local big box stores were as expensive as buying a brand new starter kit (the starter kit has a very minimal wattage, but works fine for my needs). Anyway, this was the cheapest one I could get my hands on. Installed in minutes, works as expected. The only interesting thing is that the box does not say Malibu on it anywhere. It's got Intermatic on the box - I'm assuming they are the same company, but still was a surprise.

I bought this to replace a 44 watt timer/transformer. I removed the 2 wires from my old timer, attached them to my new timer and everything works great.
