5.0 out of 5 stars "Malibu Summer",the book of sun, sand, and California loves.
The book "Malibu Summer" written by Jane Claypool Miner, was one of the most interesting and fun books I have ever read. I enjoyed this book so much I had trouble putting it down. Within hours I finished it. The book focuses mainly around a 16 year old girl named Amber and her adventures when she travels all the way to California to babysit a small child...

3.0 out of 5 stars MALIBU SUMMER WAS AWESOME!
Wow! This book was awesome. I'm really not a person to read a book in three days until it comes to Malibu Summer. I couldn't put it down. It's about a girl named Amber who spends the summer watching a troubled boy in California. Turns out she gets caught in a love "rectangle" with three guys. What is she to do? I recomend this book to anyone who enjoys reading...

The book "Malibu Summer" written by Jane Claypool Miner, was one of the most interesting and fun books I have ever read. I enjoyed this book so much I had trouble putting it down. Within hours I finished it. The book focuses mainly around a 16 year old girl named Amber and her adventures when she travels all the way to California to babysit a small child who needed to be looked after. The book made me feel like I was right there in California with her, enjoying the warm sand and the cool ocean breeze. There are three guys that Amber encounters on her trip and I found it really exciting to see if I could figure out which one of them she would end up falling in love with.If the male characters in the book where not ficticious I also believe I would fall in love with them through how the author described them. I especially adored the end, where there was a twist of irony. I love romance books and I believe this is the greatest romance book of all time. By just looking at the front and back cover of this book I was convinced it would be worthwhile to read, which it was. My friend also felt the same way and she bought the book also. I would definately recommend this book to teens of all ages because I loved reading it so much. And after reading this book that is exactly what I did. I told my friends about the book and they where as excited as I was to read it. I think that Jane Claypool Miner is a tremendous writer and I am really glad to have read her book because sincerely I don't think I have read such a great book in all of my life.

5.0 out of 5 stars REMEMBER TO GIVE THE ONE YOU DON'T WANT TO A CHANCE, July 18, 2002

I loved this book I read it back in middle school and liked it but i found it the other day cleaning my room and decided to read it again since I couldnt seem to remember what it was about. I am 20 now and realize how much I can relate to this book becasue the person I feel in love with is the one I wouldn't give a chance too. I think it gives hope to all those girls out there that are sitting at home wishing to grow up and fall in love. Cause even if it seems like it will never happen it will and in the most unexpected way. Just read the first chapter and you won't be able to put it down trust me I couldn't and I hate to read. I was going to sell it but it's such a good book that I decided to keep it and let my niece that starts middle school this year read it casue I know she'll love it and so will you!

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Like from the beginning I could tell that this novel was going to be absolutely delicious!! I couldn't put it down!! I could totally relate to the way Amber was torn between the three men! It made a very compelling story!! The boys seemed as sweet as candy!! I can only wish that someday I might have an experience somewhere near as exciting as Amber's was!! I've got my fingers crossed!!

I think everyone should read this book. It would be great if she wrote a sequal. I couldn't put it down, it was that good. And its great the way she ended up with the last person she would ever think of.

5.0 out of 5 stars Malibu Summer a great novel., July 23, 1998

This review is from: Malibu Summer (Paperback)
This book was wonderful I loved it. It was very well written and the way author decribed Ambers thoughts, and what was happing to her was wonderful. Amber has a summer that she will never forget and full of love. I recommended this book to many of my friends whom may not even read on their own time, but they read Malibu Summer and enjoyed as much has I did. I've also read other books by Jane Claypool Miner that gave the same effect that this book did on me. Her novels are very good.

This book is great but don't get discourged by it's size. I read this book in 2 and a half days. It was that good. It's about this girl Amber who goes to Malibu for the summer. She dreams of meeting a handsom young man. She meets 4 and the one she least expected to like her likes her. She makes cool friends and goes to awsome parties. Makes tons of money.(the parents of the family just parcticly throws it at her) Besides what can get any better than a summer in Malibu!!!
