4.0 out of 5 stars Eye-opening All-nighter, February 12, 2005

I was up late one night (about 3am) when I started craving for a cup of coffee and a good show on tv. I flicked through the channels and chanced upon what seemed to be a pretty boring Italian comedy about a nanny and three children. Boy was I wrong! I ended up watching a crazy, lusty, incestuous romp of a movie. The voluptuous Laura Antonelli was a delight to watch, and I have to admit, even the middle son who gets to bang her was pretty good, as far as the role was concerned. Some cappucino I got that night! Still waiting for the DVD to come out...

4.0 out of 5 stars ITALY's symbol of the seventies., July 14, 2001

This comedy made LAURA ANTONELLI a well known name in EUROPE.It took a few years for AMERICANS to discover her.In 1979,most of her best films were finally distributed.MALICIOUS is a wonderful satire on ITALIANS and the hypocrisy of their morals. The movie is almost spoiled by it's overexploitative use of LAURA's extraordinary beauty in the end.The film was very successfull in ITALY, and LAURA made two other comedies with director SALVATORE SAMPERI,both unfortunately minor works.MALICIA and THE INNOCENT remain her best movies.

5.0 out of 5 stars Should be available in Region 1 DVD, January 14, 2011
This review is from: Malicious [VHS] (VHS Tape)
An excellent movie that I currently own on VHS tape. However, my VHS tape is wearing and the sound track is weakening. I would very much like to buy a DVD of this movie with a Region 1 format (I can't play Blu-Ray or Region 2).

If Amazon.com can add my name to their list of customers to be notified by e-mail when (and if) such a product becomes available, I would appreciate it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Late Comment., March 17, 2000
This review is from: Malicious [VHS] (VHS Tape)
If you consider its date, it seems Malicious can be taken as a kind of farewell to the common themes of 60s and 70s Italian cinema: wearing them out by taking them to sardonic extremes. In that sense, this film succeeds. I recommend it.
