(Malin + Goetz) Eucalyptus Deodorant

I have developed a sensitivity to most drug store deodorants and have found that many natural products don't hold up to promised results. I read about Malin & Goetz Eucalyptus Deodorant in a women's magazine and decided to give it a try after researching many online reviews. I am pleased to report that not only does it not irritate my skin, it actually stood the ultimate test of odor protection during a recent summer month move. I am sold on this product!

I tried this deodorant hoping to get away from harsh chemicals and cheap grocery store brands. When I got this in the mail my wife immediately disliked the smell but I thought it was ok. Unfortunately is goes on kind of sticky and felt like rubbing glue under my arms. It matted my hair to my body making me uncomfortable but I decided to give it a few days to really test if I liked it. Then one morning after a shower I noticed my armpits hurt when I rubbed the towel over them to dry off. I lifted my arms and noticed my armpits were puffy and red where I had applied the deodorant. Because of this rash I could not wear any deodorant for about a week and had to use baby powder instead. Be careful if you use this product.

I have used Old Spice Sport stick deoderant for many years but became increasingly unhappy with the product as it was destroying my shirts. For the same reason I use perfume free laundry detergent, I also tried to select a scent that did not compete with my cologne. It seemed that the folks at Old Spice (and every other store bought deoderant) seemed to think that their product was meant to be the purchaser's signature scent. This product uses a subtle eucalyptus scent that I could no longer detect after 5 minutes. I was able to make it through the day without any hint of BO. It's expensive but I have found that you don't need to use much especially if you are keeping your under arm hair short using the Philips Body Shaver. I also like the fact that my t-shirts and other white shirts are not getting destroyed anymore and the added bonus that it's all natural.

This is a very fine, though expensive, product. The ingredients produce a very nice and very low-key fragrance and are nonthreatening to one's health. I guess it is a men's deodorant, but I learned about it from a women's magazine and after an initial trial, I never again thought of it as masculine. It is just as appropriate for women as for men.

I'm confused about why the Malin & Goetz deodorant costs $48? I went to the Malin & Goetz web site and the deodorant costs $18 and, in fact, after searching the entire Malin & Goetz web site I could find no listing of a deodorant that cost more than $18? So what is the deodorant on amazon that costs $48? Is it the same? Where did it come from? I'm confused? The surprising thing is that 2 Amazon customers purchased the deodorant for $48.

This is a great deodorant for a night out. I don't recommend it as an everyday deodorant as it doesn't last the whole day. It's great for use with cologne as it doesn't have a strong smell. Some have said they didn't like the smell but I'm a huge fan of eucalyptus and think it smells very clean and fresh.

It is expensive but that's what you have to deal with when you want an "all natural" product.

I have been looking for a deodorant that has a good, non-obtrusive smell for awhile,and decided to give the Malin + Goetz deo a try. I like the smell. It is minty and fresh. I find that it doesn't work the best, I have to reapply several times a day for it to work. I still like it anyways, but not sure if I'll buy it again!

I've been searching for an effective deodorant since deciding to make the switch to aluminum-free. I've tried several other deodorants (Tom's, Dove Men+ Care) that did not work for me - either they irritated/burned my skin or did not last more than a few hours. Malin + Goetz smells good, does not irritate my skin, and lasts pretty close to the 24 hours it advertises. I'll stick with it despite the high cost for a deodorant.

I'll keep it short... works well, great smell, great company... a bit expensive, but worth it. I will be buying this and many more Malin + Goetz products in the future.

The eucalyptus fragrance is very mild. This deodorant goes well with other shaving and fragrance products and it works. I was pleasantly surprised.
