This is the fourth copy I've bought of Mallets on the Mendocino Coast: Caspar Lumber Company, Railroads and Steamships, that I've purchased to give to family members as gifts. My great grandfather worked at the Caspar Mill in Caspar, California. My Grandmother grew up in Caspar and Ft. Bragg, so this area is very special to us. I found this book on accident, and it has been on the "wish list" for many members of my family.

This copy was purchased for one of my brothers- and he LOVES it!

I gave my father a copy (He's 85 years old, grew up in Northern Calif.)and he said this book is FULL of pictures that he's never seen before, and one of the BEST ever written for history and information on Caspar. The Photos are amazing- telling the history on their own. Great size fold out map inside book too... If you have the chance to purchase this book, or if you are looking for a special item, this is the book to get- for yourself or a gift!

WONDERFUL!!!
