I had only been aware of Pineal Ventana for little over a week when I got their cd "Malpractice". They're one of the very few American bands of late that has forged their own distinct sound. I could only put them in the same boat with Caroliner Rainbow, Zeek Sheck, and The Centimeters because all four artists have pursued a unique musical vision. It's exciting to hear such weird and wonderful albums like "Malpractice" coming out of post MTV America.
