I purchased this book at a local petstore as it was the only Maltese book available. This book is very vague and not very helpful at all. I advise any shopper looking for detailed informatuon about the breed to look elsewhere.

I had wanted a book that really gets into the finer details of the breed. I felt that any dog breed could have been substituted with the word "Maltese". There are lots of Maltese pictures so that made it nice, but I will look for a book written by Maltese breeders or experts, not a Dog Writer for Dog Series books.
