About the Author

Juan Travnik, nacio en Buenos Aires en 1950. Comenzo sus estudios de fotografia en 1966. Es fotografo, curador y docente. Ha escrito numerosos catalogos, presentaciones, notas y ensayos sobre la materia. Reportero grafico, retratista y fotografo publicitario, desarrolla tambien una amplia labor docente en el campo de la fotografia creativa. Participo como artista o curador en distintos coloquios, encuentros y festivales internacionales. Dirige la Fotogaleria del Teatro San Martin y el Espacio Fotografico del Teatro de la Ribera, salas que dependen del Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Es miembro de la Fundacion Luz Austral, organizadora de los Encuentros Abiertos - Festival de la Luz./ Juan Travnik, photographer, curator and teacher, he was born in Buenos Aires in 1950 and began studying photography in 1966. He has written numerous catalogues, presentations, notes and essays on photography. Photojournalist, as well as portrait and publicity photographer, he has also vast teaching experience on creative photography. He has participated in several international seminars, meetings and festivals as artist and curator. He is the Director of the Photogallery and the Photograph Space of San Martin and De la Ribera theatres, respectively, both attached to the Buenos Aires City Government. He is a member of Fundacion Luz Austral, organizer of the open exhibitions Festival de la Luz ( Festival of Light ).
