Solid, if not stunning,

I bought this as research for my own current book, and while it didn't yield much in that department, I ended up really enjoying the read. Yes, the plot's a bit predictable, but there's enough that's unique to keep it interesting, and though I guessed the others, I have to admit I didn't see the final twist coming. Very clearly a YA novel, but far more solid than a lot of the stuff written for that audience.
