I found this book at a thriftstore. And the first recipe I tried, Poet Shelley's Chicken Soup, was so delicious. The first soup recipe that my husband actually liked and met his approval. A delightful, delicious find.

I've had this book for years & still come back to it for favorite recipes! It's got a lot of oldies but goodies & some new twists on the classic oldies. I love that it's easy to use & eye catching. I've lent it out to many friends & always have demand they return it for fear of loosing it forever! It's a great lil' book to reference when ever you need something fast & good to serve!

This is a nice little cookbook. It has a back section of old recipes handed down through generations and the rest of the book consists of new recipes and updated versions of things you already like. There are healthier ways to cook a good variety of things from your Jewish cookbooks here with little snippets of background on the lineage of the recipe. The layout is pretty good and the colors are bright and cheerful. The way the spine is made the book lies open flat for ease of use while cooking. Some of the recipe instructions are a little harder than beginner but they are almost all easy to understand. I had trouble with the knish instructions on folding, but I never made a knish before.
