From Library Journal
PreSchool-Softly colored double-page spreads feature realistic-looking animal mothers (lioness, leopard, chimpanzee, koala, panda, elephant, and sea otter) and their babies, while simple four-line rhymes celebrate the love and care they give to them: "Mama, Mama,/Play with me,/Carry me/So I can see" or "Mama, Mama,/Show the way,/I am learning/Every day." Most libraries with board-book collections will want at least one copy of this gentle tribute to mothers and their little ones.

From the Author
From the artist, Laura Regan: This book was sheer joy to illustrate. I loved the concept of painting mother animals cuddling and playing with their babies. I wanted each image to be tender, while still remaining true to their natural environment, helping to teach even the youngest readers about our beautiful but fragile planet. I'd love it if you came to visit me at my Laura Regan website where you can learn more about my work. If you are interested, you can also arrange for a school visit.
