Beautiful book!,

This review is from: Mama Mama (Growing Tree) (Board book)
This is a lovely book. My 6 month old son really enjoys hearing "Mama Mama" before bedtime. The language and rhythm are very soothing. I found the book to be particularly touching because it describes a style of mothering to which I aspire. "Mama Mama" is a moving tribute to Attachment Parenting. It is wonderful to see a book about mommies and babies that depicts nursing, rather than bottles. Babywearing and cosleeping are also described. This is a book that will evoke warm feelings for both mamas and babies!

This book is beautiful - the words and rhythym are so peaceful and loving and the pictures are soothing and life-like. This book embraces the delicate and eternal bond between baby and mom. I know this sounds like an awful lot for a [price] board book, but believe me, it is amazing.

This Mama and her babies are definitely "attached" to this book!,

I have never read seven sentences in a children's book, (besides my own) that have had such a powerful impact on me as this one has. It is very hard to find books that demonstrate attachment parenting but this one does it perfectly; a baby cheetah nurses on his Mama, a baby panda and her Mama are co-sleeping, and a koala Mama is "wearing" her baby! Each Mama and baby pictured is experiencing life together, in close contact. This book truly embraces the attachment parenting philosophy. My children love to read this book with me because they still call me Mama and are delighted that my name is in a book. They also like the repetitiveness of the verses and the sweet pictures of the animal babies and Mamas. This Mama and her babies are definitely "attached" to this book!

I have been reading this book to my baby since she was about 5 months old. I've always loved it - I think the poem is really cute and just so representative of how I feel about my baby.My baby, Sofia, has grown to absolutely love this book. She now squeels in delight and says Mama Mama when I turn each page. It is seriously one of the sweetest most wonderful things I do with her. I believe this book is a MUST HAVE for bedtime. I think its so much better than Goodnight Moon and Where's Baby's Bellybutton.

I received this book (and the Papa, Papa book) as a gift when my daughter was born. I read the books to her almost every day. The poem is absolutely delightful! Especially the last part -- I almost cry every time I read it (and I'm not generally sappy).Buy it!

Great addition for your childs library,

Wonderful book which compliments attachment parenting. Baby animal is shown nursing, no bottles to be found. Baby animal is sleeping with his mama. My son enjoys the illustrations while trying to pull it into his mouth. I purchased both this book and the Papa Papa book which is equally well done.

Wonderful Baby Book - A Classic!,

I have loved this book since my first was born eight years ago, and my now-19-month old loves it, too. It is a joyous, beautifully-illustrated, rhythmic, poetic little book. Subtly celebrates parenting ideals that many hold dear: breastfeeding, babywearing, co-sleeping, daily routines. Babies love the pictures & the sweet rhythm of the melodic words. A beautiful baby book.

This simple, beautiful book highlights all of the aspects of attachment parenting. It is comforting to babies and reassuring to mommies. This would be a great gift for a new mother (with Papa Papa for the new dad).
