And why can't we see the stars during the day?  Finally, once his Mama has explained everything to him, Mama ushers her little one off to sleep, explaining that she will sleep too, so she can dream about her dearest cub.

About the Author

Karma Wilson's previous picture books include Bear Snores On, Bear Wants More, Bear Stays Up for Christmas, and Mortimer's Christmas Manger, all illustrated by Jane Chapman, One Day in the Middle of the Bog, illustrated by Joan Rankin, and Hilda Must Be Dancing and Bear Hugs illustrated by Suzanne Watts. Simon Mendez lives and works in Yorkshire, England.  He has loved to draw for as long as he can remember.  He is also the winner of a Gold Star Award from the Association of Illustrators in the UK.

More About the Author

I'm a wife, mother of three, writer and photographer. I love to write fun stories, poems, songs, etc... I especially love to write in rhyme because I think that well written rhyme naturally teaches children to expand their vocabulary and love books and reading.

I spend my time in the wilds of northwest Montana, where there are lots of bears and animals like the ones in my bear books! I love the wilderness and all of the animals that live there. My husband and children are also avid lovers of the outdoors.

I am also an amateur photographer. Give me a camera and I'll spend hours snapping photos.

This book is magical and adorable. Fun for Mommy and Daddy to read and a delight for our 2 year old daughter. (Especially great for kids who love snow!)

This is a great book and Ms Wilson is a great author. My nieces and nephews always love her book. And of course, I always have to read them before I give these books to them.
