What a FABULOUS book! The story is one which teaches appreciation for the diverse world in which we live -plus the rhyme is something that appeals to all ages. Buy this book-support LOVE not hate.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
Well intentioned, but disappointing book. I found the story too personal to be relevant, and the illustrations clumsy.

As lesbian parents, my partner welcome any addition to the scant selection of books which mirror our family dynamics. The overall plot idea is original, but the rhyming/writing is so poor that I would rather read all the "straight" family books!

5.0 out of 5 stars Raising better children for a better world, August 15, 2004
This review is from: Mama Eat Ant, Yuck! (Paperback)
We can never have too many anti-bias books for children. I will buy every one, and support every one because I want to do my part to teach my children to love and accept all kinds of people. It's not politically correct. Who could look at our current political environment and claim this book is politically correct. We have to do all we can, now more than ever, to raise loving, respectful children so that in the future the world will not be so intolerant and hate-filled.

Love that this book is not about the two moms. But it just happens to have two moms. Excellent!
