5.0 out of 5 stars Mambo all night long
Mambo #5 is a DJ's dream come true. As A Mobile DJ we pray for those infectious dance hits that just drives the crowd wild, it mixes great with Tequila by the champs. Mambo #5 is far from being "Babys got back", it is one in a long line of Remakes, like Mony, Mony , Locomotion, Just a GiGolo, etc. Old song with a new beat formula. this song was a Smash in...

3.0 out of 5 stars Mambo # 5 partly good
I love the original Mambo# 5 and the extended version of the song is also very good and mostly the same. The other two versions however are junk. The Havanna Club Mix version has very little singing and sounds nothing like the orginal and the trumpet mix has NO singing and sounds not one bit like the orignal. I wolud have rathered they weren't on this CD.

This is one of the best songs ever. It has a great beat, good lyrics, and is great to dance to and sing along with. My choice for Best Song. Period.

4.0 out of 5 stars Super catchy hit single!, December 28, 1999
This review is from: Mambo No. 5 (Audio CD)
This single with 4 styles of "Mambo No. 5" is great. It contains different mixes for different types of dances! It is still as catchy as the version you hear on the radio (which is included) and then some!

4.0 out of 5 stars This 'is' the song that will assit in bringing swing back., October 12, 1999

Lou Bega has made a fantastic contribution to the dance world with his new single 'Mambo # 5'. This 'IS' the song that, will assault your senses, and make you get up and dance, I also beleive it will revive big bands into a rare, if ever seen new form of swing, with a creative pop and dance mix. This is a great contribution to the club scene, and I hope that people will stand and take notice, to the variety of music that the new generation is now listening to, and set the repetoir to give a little mixture to the evening.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally un-"PC", rude to women and a great hit! ;), April 18, 2000

This review is from: Mambo No. 5 (Audio CD)
As a woman I obviously cannot speak for all women (after reading the reviews) however I think this is a great song, *especially* for dancing! Not everything that is not PC (politically correct) has to be bad - once you just let go and like it for what it is, you won't want to turn it off! True, if my daughter ever had a boyfriend playing this then I'd change my opinion, however for the time being she's only 3 so I have nothing to worry about. :) My husband laughs and tells me that if he had come home singing this I would have thrown a fit (grin) ... but since I found this song first I can say I think it's the coolest. LOL
