In a blind "taste test", a listener would be hard-pressed to tell that this album was originally recorded more than 45 years ago, at least from a style perspective. It fits right in with any contemporary musica tropicales album.

The songs performed are excellent, especially "Cherry" and "I'll Remember April." The album is like having a cold tropical fruit punch drink on a warm day while reclining in a chaise longue on the beach at sunset.

If you like very smooth latin jazz that will truly not disappoint then this music CD is perfect for you. Young and old will enjoy Cal Tjader's classic instrumentals of vibes, piano, bass, timbales, bongos and congas. It is especially strong in the mambo, "Lucero" and bolero, "Autumn Leaves". This is first rate Cal Tjader at his best. If you love Cal Tjader, look no further, this is your CD and will be your music CD of choice for years to come.

When I first heard Chloe and Sonny Boy, I thought they were the greatest! After nearly 50 years, I still do.

I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS YOUNG IN THE 60'S, MY MOM HAD THIS RED VINYL ALBUM CALLED "MAMBO WITH TJADER." I THOUGHT IT WAS AWESOME THEN AND PRESENTLY, I HAVE REDISCOVERED TJADER AND HIS MUSIC. IT SOUNDS AS COOL NOW AS IT DID THEN. RELAX ,ENJOY!!!!!!
