A Blues Best,
By Yellow Dog (MA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Mamie's Blues (MP3 Download)
I have loved the blues all of my life, I know hundreds of them by heart, and I play them daily, but only moderately well, on my acoustic guitar. I think Mamie's Blues by Ferdinand Jelly Roll Morton may be the most beautiful blues ever laid down on wax. Taken together with Don't You Leave Me Here, Winin Boy Blues, Sweet Substitute, and Buddy Bolden's Blues, it establishes Morton, in my opinion, as the best blues artist ever.
