5.0 out of 5 stars The Mammoth Book of Nostradamos by Wilson-Editor, October 29, 2003
This review is from: The Mammoth Book of Nostradamus and Other Prophets: A Complete Guide to Prophets and Prophecies from Babylon to the Present Day and Beyond (Mammoth Books) (Paperback)
For anyone interested in the paranormal, this book will be
replete with fascinating stories. For instance, Nostradamos
lived centuries ago, yet he predicted the rise of the previous
anti-Christs Napoleon and Hister (Hitler). His predictions
were chillingly accurate in their portal of time and impact
on world history. Edgar Casey made a number of very important
predictions of 20th century events and medicinal protocols
which continue to benefit patients to this day. This work makes
for very interesting reading. The scientific method is hard
to replicate.Nevertheless, the writings speak of things which have come to pass as foretold in the original prognostication.
We dare not dismiss these writings too flippantly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable reading, May 5, 2000

This review is from: The Mammoth Book of Nostradamus and Other Prophets: A Complete Guide to Prophets and Prophecies from Babylon to the Present Day and Beyond (Mammoth Books) (Paperback)
An interesting book full of strange ideas and even stranger stories about people & their paranormal experiences. Some of the people you've heard of (like Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce)and some remain obscure despite the unusual and baffling nature of their stories. The real theme of the book is "time." In the introduction, Colin Wilson states that "every page offers some example...that time is not "continuous", but is like a massive snapshot photo album whose photos exist simultaneously." Whether you believe this stuff or not, it makes for some thought-provoking reading.

Very lengthy (like the title claims : "mammouth") book devoted to the prophecies of Nostrdamus and many others. Recommended for fans of this genre of literature. Reads easily and holds interest. Well constructed.
