This is another of Palmer's books with ties to Jacobsville,Texas.Although set in San Antonio,The Texas Ranger has more on Simon Hart(Beloved) as the State Attorney General.I loved the interaction between Marc & Josette trying to overcome their past differences. Garden Cop is the sort of sequel featuring Curtis Russell,a FBI agent visiting his mom & suspicious of what his lovely next door neighbor is growing in her garden. It goes DOWNHILL from that point on between those two.

Cute stories, but the author writes as if her audience has the intelligence of a 10-year-old, repeating facts and over- explaining details. I understand that it's a romance book, but even people who read romances have brains.

Though smaller than most Palmer stories-these 2 are very enjoyable with everything you would expect in a Diana Palmer story.

A Man for All Seasons was a very enjoyable read. I have always liked Diana Palmer's books. Amazon always had a great selection of e-books to read.

I like the stories that are connected to Jacobsville Town and the Ballengers, Harts, Scotts, and Parks. If I miss any I am sorry. But I like all the connection in Jacobsville families.

I normally enjoy this author...but the.Texas Ranger had nothing to recommend it. The hero is an ass and the female lead is a victim in need of major counselling. The plot was obvious and dull, about halfway I moved to the second story because I could no longer force myself to read the first. The Garden Cop was entertaining and lively. It redeemed the entire book. Overall I will continue to read this author, but I might avoid multiple story novels. I am glad this came from the library and not my wallet.

More About the Author

I was born in south Georgia(USA), graduated from high school in Atlanta, married my husband, James, in Habersham County, and graduated from Piedmont College(Demorest, GA) summa cum laude in history with minors in anthropology and Spanish in 1995.

I worked for over 16 years as a newspaper reporter on both weekly and daily papers. In between reporting jobs, I had a son, Blayne, my greatest creative achievement. I love iguanas and most other animals, and am the biggest geek on earth. If it's electronic, and non-lethal, I probably have one. I was always the kid who was out of step with the rest of the world, and I still am. My father was a college professor, so my sister and I grew up not quite understanding what prejudice was.

I traveled a lot when I was more mobile than I am now, and I never met a person I didn't like. Writing books is more than a job to me, it's my life, next to being a wife, mother and grandmother. I am a person of faith, but I respect all religions and all cultures.

I write romantic suspense for HQN books, mass market and series contemporary romance for Harlequin, and science fiction novels for Luna Books. In my spare time, I sleep. :)
