Sludge Metal... Immediately making me think of Eyehategod. Slow Bass heavy metal death songs to slowly drown you in depression and nothingness ( and grief too ). Track 6, Down in the Dumps again says it all about the cd. A great cd if you can handle the grief, and overwhelming depression you will feel as you listen to the cd. ( mabye it's just me, where are is my medecation).

...And Man Will Become The Hunted is the final album from slugde/doom metal kings Grief, and fans of this band or this style of metal will not be disappointed. It is everything the listener has come to expect from Grief: depressing, misanthropic, full of hate, and crushingly heavy, but with a few tempo changes here and there that perhaps make it a little more interesting musically than some of their previous albums. The production is excellent, with the tortured vocals, super fuzzy heavy bass, snarling, growling guitars and sharp, clean drums all well placed in the mix. A superb offering from one of the most overlooked bands in metal.

If you like Doom metal, look no further. Their early work
contains some of the slowest, sludgiest, and heaviest dirges
on the planet. This cd is no exception. There are some added
dynamics to ...and man will become the hunted. This cd
shows off the bands more technical side- guitar harmonies,
odd time signitures, and even bursts of speed. (Some fits of
double bass.)All other things that make this band cool are demonstrated on this disc; tortured screams, slow motion tempos, power chord ridden riffs, and a good sense of melancholia. Sadly-this is the band's last studio recording. Those into EYEHATEGOD, Sourvien, and Bongzilla are encouraged to listen to the this.
