This box includes probably the best recordings by J Cash.
Many are in stereo for the first time, several was released outside USA in the 60`s.Sings in spanish and german on some of his hits.Includes the rare album with the carter sisters. The sound is incredible, directly from the sessiontapes.Theres a bonus cd with an short concert from Newport 63.

Everything Johnny - Box #3, January 16, 2012
This review is from: The Man In Black Vol. 3: 1963-69 Plus (Audio CD)
Johnny Cash / The Man In Black (Vol. 3) / 1963-1969 (Bear Family Records 6 CDs)
Bear Family Records gathers every single track of every single song and every outtake and puts them all into their Box sets of Johnny Cash but these box sets only cover his songs from the beginning of his career in the 1950's to the end of the 1960's. They also have a Forth Box set of Johnny Cash's "Concept Albums" which were made in the 1960's to the late 1970's, but that box (Come along and ride this train) only covers those particular sessions and are not all inclusive of the recordings of those years. The songs from the concept albums in the "Come Along And Ride This Train" box set, which were made in the 1960's, are NOT included in "The Man In Black Vol. 3" box. While the "Man in Black" box sets are perfect for the ultimate Johnny Cash fans, the various outtakes of the same song can get weary with repetition.
This third volume of the J.C. box sets from Bear Family deserves a Five Star rating.
