Knowledge for Men,
By
This review is from: The Man Book (Paperback)
Otto DeFay spent years collecting data and suggestions for items to contain within this book and presents some great things that every man should know and if they don't then here is your quick reference guidebook. Included are:
Sports statistics covering every SuperBowl, World Series, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup, NASCAR finishers, Triple Crown Winners, Heavyweight Boxing champions, Tennis & Golf. Also includes MVP lists. Playboy Playmates of the Year - all of them Military Ranks covering Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines Music - Greatest guitarists, best drummers, albums every guy should own, musicians who checked out early American Serial Killers Proper use of the F-bomb, how to call some an idiot, 1000 euphamisms and slang for male & female body parts as well as activities using them. How to dress, proper wine selection, beer facts, Yo Mamma & Dumb Blonde jokes. All this and much much more. It's pretty interesting and covers quite a bit. I could have went without such an extensive 1000 slang term lists but it's worth checking out and gives you quite a bit of quick reference material on sporting facts. Could possibly have been better organized but by breaking up the sports listings, you're not overwhelmed by the stats. Absolutely worth having just for the facts lists and you even get some jokes to share with your boss. Target audience is pretty straight forward... Men. Round this out with the Deadly Hippos Man: The Book and you should have it covered.

only a couple laughs in the entire book. old jokes and 'other names' for things...things you've heard many times before a long time ago. get a cheap almanac for sports stats and visit a few funny web sites to cover the 'humorous' aspects of this book.

Not da bomb, just a bomb,
By Chop House Savior (Phoenix) - See all my reviews

This book was a huge disappointment. The lists get old very quickly, and really don't contain much useful or humorous material. You'll only get enough entertainment for one trip to the bathroom. Instead of this rag, try something like "Badass: A Relentless Onslaught of the Toughest Warlords, Vikings, Samurai, Pirates, Gunfighters, and Military Commanders to Ever Live"

I got this for my husband for his birthday, we both got a lot of laughs out of it. I wouldn't recommend letting your lady read it if she doesn't have a good sense of humor, since it it "The Man Book". Also, it may be inappropriate for non-adults since it has A-Z nicknames for certain body parts and a few other things.

ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL,
This review is from: The Man Book (Paperback)
This book is so funny I don't even know where to start. Turned many friends onto the book and they agreed. Some people would call it silly and immature in places but the Engligh language can be very colorful at times! I thought the jokes were superb and the sections with acronyms for specific body parts and activities were hysterical!

Awful.,

Some parts of it may be funny, or useful, but it's nothing you haven't heard before. Don't waste your money. Furthermore, "How To Pick Up Women" quickly turns into "Paying Prostitutes for Sex." Not to mention the chapter on how all women are meant to sexually gratify you and nothing more. This book is dedicated to advancing the misogynistic idiots in today's society. Complete with dumb humor. A few of the sports statistics are somewhat useful perhaps, but guess what? Nothing you couldn't find online with a few seconds of your time and Google.

THIS BOOK MADE ME A MAN!!!!,
By
This review is from: The Man Book (Paperback)
Thanks so much Mr. DeFay for writing this life-changing book! I saw 3 copies of this book in the "humor" section of a bookstore and immediately picked it up, hoping to get a laugh or two or three. What I got was so much more. I got a book that states the cold, hard facts about what makes a man a "Man."
Just 3 short days ago, I was but a 28 year-old boy who had his manliness suppressed by years and years of formal education. I had read Maddox's "Alphabet of Manliness" (a funny book but nothing more), Tucker Max's "I hope they serve beer in hell" (not that great), and "The Game" (a book for picking up chicks) along with few other books but none of them explained what it takes to be a man until this book. Now I realized that what society teaches in school (that education is the most important thing) is nothing but a big lie and is useless in such a competitive economy. Teachers all across the world I say this: Give this book to every male student and teach them how to be men! Then, and only then, should they learn the junk forced upon them everyday. Thanks again Mr. DeFay. You changed my life.
