Silly but hard to resist,

This review is from: A Man Called Masters (Mass Market Paperback)
Lucy Walker books have an anachronistic charm all their own - creating a sort of Australian never-land where men are manly, women are sweetly (or not so sweetly) feminine and Aboriginal people - well, let's not go there.
Nonetheless I am charmed by her romances, and am amassing a collection. This book is sillier than most with a plot that even the most intellectually challenged will find preposterous, but it's a lot of fun and worth reading for the evocation of times gone past as they never were. |
