Pelbar In Space,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Man from Far Cloud (Paperback)
Man from Far Cloud is an unfortunate title as obscures the fact that this volumes contains both the original "The Gifts of the Gorboduc Vandal" and a sequel. Gifts and the sequel follow the pattern of William's tolerance novels in a science-fiction setting. Substitute Pelbar Stel Westrun for Umber Treggevvthann and put him in space (in the sequel) and you've got the idea, with William's customary attention to detail, vivid characters, and immensely appealing writing style.
In short, if you like the Pelbar novels (and who doesn't?), you'll enjoy this one. Highly recommended for both old and young alike. |
