Good sound quality remaster,

This review is from: Man With the Guitar (Audio CD)
Recording of Herb Ellis' combo. Made in 1965.
Personel Herb Ellis guitar, Teddy Edwards tenorsax, Ron Feuer organ, Monty Budwig bas and Stan Levey drums. Three standards; Swingin' On A Shoestring, Tennessee Waltz and Besame Mucho. Empty Rooms and Herbin' from the leader; Herb Ellis. And one Ray Brown original; A.M. Blues. This version of Man With The Guitar sounds as if it was recorded today(Japanese quality). Slightly more modern in style, than the leaders' two recording dates for Verve. Perhaps because of the presence of Teddy Edwards. Four star because of the sound quality, but I think the music is worth listening, but not top quality(perhaps I'm not fond of the slightly more modern sound of the combo. Probably due to Teddy Edwards).
