"If you think rock is dead you should be forcefead the new release by Martin's Folly, Man It's Cold."
Tar Hut Record's best "sounding" record, with one of the best bands alive in NYC! Make no mistake, it's a shame that they're so criminally overlooked, because they could have been bigger than The Strokes had the major labels arrived in time. And luck and timing are everything in the music business. So it goes. Do yourself a favor and buy this brilliant record!

This is one of the best records I've heard all year. Great roots/rock and pop with dreamy, moody guitar riffs and organ swells. Terrific songwriting and singing too!

One of the top ten records of 1999!,

This should be all over radio everywhere...college, alternative, etc. Absolutely brilliant set of music here. The songwriting is top-notch, the production near-perfect, and the melodies just keep coming. Think Beck meets Elvis Costello meets Pavement meets Philly Stax soul. Wow!

This album hums with the sounds of music's past. Even so, I found this album to be very refreshing and listenable. I highly recommend it to anyone who yearns for a fresh and yet familiar sound.
