Man with Knife Shower Curtain with Sound

The novelty aspect and design of the image on this shower curtain makes this a fun item but it is made of old-school vinyl (non-EVA) so it gives off very strong fumes. I washed it, with no effect other than to erase bits of the image off the curtain (not enough to destroy the effect for seasonal use). So, I put it outside for a couple of weeks to air out because the entire house was affected by the smell when kept indoors. Even after that, it still gave off strong fumes/odors.

The sound that comes with it is an excellent replica of the soundtrack for the segment of the movie to which the curtain pays homage. It is really very loud (especially in the small space of a bath) and when on motion-activated setting it does continually go off. Fortunately, that setting can be changed to operate only when the button is pushed.

I stuck with it only because I like halloween and old movies so much but if you are sensitive to smells/fumes and like other similar curtains, there are better choices.

Great and fun shower curtain. It does stink as other reviews have stated, but the smell did eventually go away. The sound is loud and the motion sensor is not the "best." But hey, for the price of this, you can't beat it! Buy it!

This shower curtain was a party hit, everyone wanted to know where I had gotten it from. We put a strobe light behind it in the shower and it worked out great. The only down side was the sound box is run with a motion sensor, so if someone was actually in the bathroom it kept going off over and over again,kind of annoying after the initial novelty wore off. But over all totally worth the price.

The sound produced by the unit supplied and was more robust, and louder, than I thought. I just received the unit less than 24 hours ago, so I can only report on what I see so far. I've seen comments about the smell, but I don't think it's no worse than any new vinyl item that we buy. If it's that annoying, I would put it in the washer, cold water and on delicate cycle. Haven't tried that with this shower curtain, but I have washed several other vinyl shower curtains and they come out no worse for wear. Someone could correct me if they have tried washing this unit..

Back to the sound, I didn't know the unit was light sensitive. Pleasant surprise. It sounds off when I cut off the light as I leave the bathroom, but not when I cut on the light, don't think it's supposed to. It's louder than I thought also. You can turn it off, when it starts to annoy you, so that it only comes on when you press the button. I believe I'm correct, but as mentioned, I only had it for a night. I also ordered a LED shower head, so I can't wait to combine a dark bathroom, LED shower, and this shower head!!

I'm the first of my friends and neighbors to have a Shower Curtain with sound effects. I remember the movie Psycho featuring Norman Bates! With this curtain and sound effect and the Bloody Bat Mat for sure my hubby will not be using this bathroom. Lucky for him we have two bathrooms(laugh.) Knowing me I'll have a surprize in the other bathroom as well. Thank you for helping me give my bathroom a delightful personality of it's own.

I bought this shower curtain for a friend's housewarming. First she opened many other wonderful gifts: a toaster, sheets, welcome mat, blanket, a set of glassware, etc. But when she got to this gift she and the crowd broke out in a prolonged howl of laughter. My friend called me later to tell me it was her favorite gift. After the housewarming, one of her friends even ordered the same curtain for herself, plus two matching "bloody" bath mats.
