The book is exactly what I ordered. It is in near new condition, and it arrived in much less time than expected.

This is not a book for the casual reader. There is a lot of information packed into this little book and one will have familiarize themselves with some of the termology. 2.0 out of 5 stars Strictly Egalitatarian, September 15, 2008
This review is from: Man as Male and Female: A Study in Sexual Relationships from a Theological Point of View (Paperback)
This is not a book for the casual reader. There is a lot of information packed into this little book and one will have familiarize themselves with some of the termology. Anyone doing research will find this book a must. For the most part the book is well writtened and clearly communicates the author's egalitarian convictions. However, the reader, whether egalitarian or complimentarian or neutral, should read this book carefully, with pin and paper in hand. Jewett arguments his case well but uses many non biblical assumptions to make his case.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating but Flawed, September 4, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Man as Male and Female: A Study in Sexual Relationships from a Theological Point of View (Paperback)
Jewett attempts to present a coherent theology of mankind as male and female. He makes some advances in his cause and presents some cogent and uncomfortably accurate points. However, the logic of his case occasionally falls short of making the case for a new Christian anthropology. Nevertheless, this book represents a positive step towards a reconceptualization of Christian anthropology. Although this new vision will probably not stand up under scrutiny, there are valid points that should not be ignored because of the flaws in the argument.
