Book Description

November 1, 2007
Look in his eyes. He's holding something . . .

Shy daydreamer Tabitha Graham had a vivid imagination. When she rescued tourist Devin Coulter from a back-alley mugging, she imagined that she'd found a soul mate in the sweet, quiet man. But Dev was was no tourist, that was no simple mugging and Tabby's perfect gentleman was in fact a ferocious, Fabulous Beast.

If there is anything Ariana Warfield couldn't stand, it was a phony. Her beloved aunt Philomena was under the spell of a con artist, and she knew that only master illusionist Lucian Hawk could reveal the swindler's cheap deceptions. But on the Night of the Magician, Ariana would learn to distinguish tricks from real magic.

Two classic tales from award-winning author Jayne Ann Krentz writing as Stephanie James!

Stories are good, but these are old books written for the series romance genre and are pretty out of date. Wouldn't recommend buying this unless you have never read them and are a huge Jayne Ann Krentz fan.

This review is from: The Man in the Mask: Fabulous Beast / Night of the Magician (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a re-issue of two books written under the name Stephanie James. For the most part I do not enjoy these books. But, I love Jayne Ann Krentz books, especially the ones written under the name Jayne Castle and Amanda Quick.

3.0 out of 5 stars Still worth a read-- It's Jayne Ann Krentz!, August 8, 2009
This review is from: The Man in the Mask: Fabulous Beast / Night of the Magician (Mass Market Paperback)
Setting: Modern Times

This has two stories. The Fabulous Beast was the best of the two, but not as great as her other works. It still has the same possessiveness and "you belong to me" attitude we all love.
