4.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous story line -- Highly recommended, November 30, 2002
This review is from: A Man for the Night (Harlequin Blaze, No 64) (Paperback)
Josie Williams needs a date for her ten-year high school reunion. When she showed up five years ago, she came away with mortified memories of a night in tears. This time she intends to arrive with her boyfriend in tow, ready to sparkle and dazzle. Too bad she breaks up with her current boyfriend just before the reunion. At a friend's suggestion, she arranges an escort for the evening. When she meets, however, Josie's fantasies take flight, and she dreams of taking him home as her sex slave for the night.

Callum McCloud's younger brother makes big bucks escorting attractive women. But when his big break comes for his acting career, he is scheduled for a date with Josie. So he convinces his older brother to fill in. Callum did not expect such a sexy lady, and suddenly his libido kicks up to high. Now he is determined to fill every fantasy Josie has on her wish list. But more than lust brews in their heated encounter, and emotions will demonstrate a will of their own.

While A MAN FOR THE NIGHT may not offer the daring eroticism readers expect from the Blaze series, it does offer such a marvelous story that it merits reading. Author Miranda Lee delivers an Alpha male who does not hesitate to stick up for his lady. His battle ready attitude when they arrive at Josie's reunion reveals a knight in white armor with a heart of gold. Not only does he fill Josie's fantasies, but he will inspire some hot ones for readers as well. Josie's determination to lure him into bed, contract or no, demonstrates the modern, powerful woman readers delight in. A MAN FOR THE NIGHT comes highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Four star Blaze read!, May 12, 2009
By
Susie (Alabama, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Man for the Night (Harlequin Blaze, No 64) (Paperback)
I am a fan of the Harlequin Blaze line of books because they are quick to read with around 200-250 pages and they are steamy with good plots. Miranda Lee's A Man for the Night is no exception. This book is about how Josie Williams needs a date for her ten year reunion and so she hires a male escort to go with her. The thing is at the last moment, her escort has to bail, so his brother, Callum McCloud, goes in his place. Josie also never pictured that the man escorting her would be her fantasy date come to life.

Callum is an alpha male who is highly interested in getting to know Josie more on an intimate level, but he doesn't do relationships. Josie has been stuck in a rut, going out with boring guys until Callum comes along. Josie lets Callum in on her list of sexual fantasies, and Callum thinks that he is just the man to help her fulfill those fantasies. There are some very steamy scenes, but I actually was left feeling like it lacked something. Too much talk, not enough sizzle and action. I give it 4 stars!

4.0 out of 5 stars Classic Miranda Lee, December 11, 2011
This review is from: A Man for the Night (Harlequin Blaze, No 64) (Paperback)
A Man For The Night is the 60th romance novel by Miranda Lee. Five years ago, at her high-school reunion, newly-divorced Josie Williams was a mess. She's determined that this reunion, she will impress, but her current boyfriend lets on he's bisexual (would she like a threesome?) and Josie needs a man for the night. Enter Callum McLeod: he's only doing his actor brother a favour, and the escort agency has a "no sex" rule, but he soon realises that Josie is going to be hard to resist. When circumstances force him to spend the night with her, he gives up trying, and then next morning, Josie wants to hire him to fulfil her fantasy list. Sweet characters, a fun plot and some hot sex scenes. Classic Miranda Lee.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth Reading, October 3, 2011
This review is from: A Man for the Night (Harlequin Blaze, No 64) (Paperback)
I have discovered the Blaze Series is much more "daring" than other Harlequin Romances and while this book is definitely that....it did lack "heat". It's a great story line and still absorbs the reader but I couldn't help but want for more. Interesting connections between characters and enjoyed how they developed but didn't keep me turning pages with anticipation.
Worth the read and hopefully can find it on sale!
