This review is from: A Man, A Plan, (yet lacking) A Canal, Panama (Paperback)
Linda Donahue has done a marvelous job of mixing history, historical fiction, and a dose of the supernatural into a fine, fun read. This book, about Henry Morgan's raid on Panama City is obviously well-researched, although Donahue does not call attention to it. This, alone, is worth extra points to me. Added to which she has captured the flavor of the time and given us a bit of added twist, all of which makes a very fine book. I enjoyed it and I recommend it.
