Bluefin tuna is an amazing fish. I truly enjoyed watching the passion that these fishermen bring to their task. The personalities are interesting and diverse. You can also learn a few things/tips around fishing if you pay attention. I think they did a good job to fit the footage from a few days (or a week) of fishing into a single episode. The DVD also has a short documentary about the sustainability of the fishery. Although the documentary seems be much older than the actual episodes, it was a good reminder that we need to be responsible with the resource.

my daughter had seen this show at her aunt's house since we don't have normal TV. It was something the whole family enjoyed.

My mistake in not looking into the language content of this series before purchasing. The stories are awesome, the footage is awesome, the fish are awesome! Unfortunately, the language is horrible throughout. Some episodes worse than others, and some fishermans language is worse than others. There is alot bleeped out, but still much that remains. I find this inappropriate for our families taste. However, for some I know this would not be a concern.

One fisherman, Marciano, seems to have better language, overall, and also shows some good character with family values occasionally. Otherwise, most of the rest of the fisherman do not show much for kindness. Some ruthless competition, and selfishness are portrayed. No sexual content or physical violence in season 1. Verbal drama and expressed hatred/disdain throughout.

This review is for season 1, which I have watched all of. I cannot review any other seasons, as I have not seen them. They may be worse or better... do not know. The action and storyline and footage on season 1 was really great, and we really enjoyed that part. Minus the language and we would have bought all seasons. Obviously, families are not the target for this series. If language is not a concern for you, and you like reality shows with action, or interested in fishing of any kind...you will enjoy this.

Tuna fishing is not an easy game. Watching professionals is a great way to learn. I've watched every episode at least 3 times. When is season two coming out?

Very cool show and Paul is hillarious! There's money out there if you can reel it in! The fish are huge. Great show!

I kind of came to this show backwards as I first got hooked on the Alaska Bristol Bay Salmon show and enjoyed it so much, I decided to check this one out once I ran out of episodes there. I now own S1 of this one and have seen newer episodes on t.v. Beside the need for all the bleeps and some annoying people ( Paul) it is all good. Maybe if they remind these guys that they are all miked like they do when they put mikes on the NFL players during games and tell them to watch their language, most but the big bully type egoist would do so. They are family men all and other than when they are reacting to something in extreme anger I am sure it can be toned down and still make the show fun to watch. That all being said, I say get in your armchair and set you rod, drink and push play:)
