I have taken a class before with a simliar book on the same subject this book is pleasantly of high quality. Rather than muddle through a bunch of terms the authors have linked real life situations and case studies and connected them to the subject material. Hope more professors use this book in their teachings.

I used this book for a masters course in management information systems. I originally sold my book back only because I know that holding onto it makes it depreciate. But I liked it so much that I am prepared to buy it back now (at a much lower price). This books covers on topics that you just can't exposed to unless you have a solid 10 or 15 years in software development.

Also the real world examples demonstrate how you can apply those scenarios to the real world. If you want to just program continue doing what you're doing, but if you want to be a great developer buy this book. After all you should understanding how your role in IT supports different industries.

I am not an MIS or IT major. This book was terrific for me. Very helpful in it's complete explanations of everything "IT" for the novice.

This book is easy to read. It has software which strengthens the learning process.

I ordered the "Management Information Systems: Managing the Digital Firm & Multimedia Student CD Package". Apparently the CD doesn't come with this book. Very deceiving. I told Chris, the seller, that I didn't receive the CD. He told me that it doesn't come with the CD (even though it says "Student CD Package") and that he would refund me $10 for the CD. It has been almost a month and I still haven't received my $10 refund. The book itself is fine. Still waiting.

After placing an order for a used book with Amazon I recived the book with out the CD that was critical for my class. The book was also an EVALUATION COPY and NOT for resale! I paid more to go through Amazon thinking it would gaurentee that I would not be cheated.
NOT TRUE!
AMAZON will not resond to me!
Their third party vendor has NOT answered numerous e-mails.
WOW, Amazon does not give you you anything more than the cheaper vendors.

Erroneously picked up as a practical manual based on the table of contents. Turned out to be a guide for students on IT business applications. For everyone and for no one
