This is one of the worst textbooks I've ever come across. It was recommended to me by my professor, but I would certainly not recommended it to anyone. The language is hard to understand, repetitive, and boring. The topics covered seem to be out of touch with reality. The subjects are dealt with abstractly, and are not easily translated to real-life. I honestly don't think this book will teach or help me manage a real company.
The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because it "covers" a wide range of topics.

This book taught me a lot about management. The only thing I didn't like was how it didn't have a glossery. That made it very hard when I took my open book tests.

I bought this book through the marketplace thinking I was purchasing the text book. Wrong! The description needs to be updated to indicate this is a study guide workbook. The text is over [$$$] new.

Book used was in very good shape, and I received it right on time before semester started. I have recomended my classmates to buy from amazon. Thanks

Griffin's text is well written and easy to follow. It is extremely thorough--that is, he provides details and examples that help exemplify the material. Many of my classes require poorly written textbooks that are unclear or jump all over the place, but Griffin's text is effectivly organized. Although it's expensive, as most are today, this is by far one of the best textbooks I've owned. If your professor doesn't explain things thoroughly, you'll probably still learn all you need to learn about management essentials through this text.

Everything else I have bought from Amazon was good.
I was very disappointed with this purchase. My teacher had to send me a book so I could continue my class. This book came from England it was 4th edition instead of a 10th and so I wasted two weeks of my eight week class.
