Best textbook I've used,
By vigilant20 (West Allis, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Managerial Accounting: Tools for Business Decision Making (Hardcover)
Expensive book, but I was impressed with the layout and how easily I was able to learn with it. Study objectives are outlined at the beginning of each chapter, pointed out when they are discussed, and defined at the end so important topics are not missed. Formulas are boxed off for ease in locating and there are plenty of helpful illustrations. Each section of the text ends with a "Before You Go On" box that asks you several questions to ensure you picked up the key points.
There are lots of case studies, self-study questions, and exercises to help you understand the material more thoroughly. Although I'm taking this after work during a short summer semester so I haven't had the opportunity to take advantage of them. My professor is using the WileyPlus material as well. So all of the questions on the tests are answered online and are directly from the publisher. It appears the powerpoints she lectures off of are supplied as well, so nothing is missed and there are no curveballs on the exams.

Ordering the book was a bit of a challenge in that the price changed 3 or 4 times while I was looking around. But once I selected it, the rest was easy. the book arrived in a timely manner and is in great condition. Thanks for a great experience.

I am an accounting major, so I have been through a lot of accounting books and this one was the easiest to understand. It definitely gave me the foundations I needed for my other accounting classes.
