5.0 out of 5 stars Good Book, November 23, 1998
By A Customer
This book provides an excellent background for learning applied managerial economics. Mr. Baye uses interesting real-world examples, which is difficult when writing about the entirely hypothetical world of micro-economics. I felt that the section on Game Theory was especially useful in explaining real world market paricipant behavior in pricing decisions. Overall, I would highly recommend this book for both students of economics, as well as those non-students seeking a weekend of light reading in the topic of economics.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wrong Book..., June 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I needed the 7th edition of this book, so when I saw that it was digital, I scooped it up. It was only after my instructor told me I was doing the wrong problems did I notice that the digital version is the 6th edition! There are significant changes between the 6th and 7th edition and I am now scrambling to get a book so I don't fail this class. This digital book should not be linked to the 7th edition textbook listing. Only matching editions should be linked.

4.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful combination of theoretical economics and hands-on business strategies, June 26, 2006
Used during my MBA studies at Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, North Carolina, the book was alwys helpful and provided me the necessary insights into the economical theory. I alredy learned the content back in Germany during my first business administration studies. Nevertheless, the American studies are more oriented towards the practical approach, so it provided me a good help to build the bridge between the economic theories, and the hands-on practical approach. We all sweated sometimes sitting over complicated formulas, but this book makes it easy to understand. A great help, as mentioned before. There is in the meantime a newer version on the market, but this one was fine for me, too. When you look for a good, solid help to understand the basics on how everything flows together, this book is a great resource!
