From the Publisher

Managers of adjunct and part-time faculty on today's college campuses face a variety of challenges created by the increasing numbers of adjuncts, the changing demographics of students, and the exponetial growth in technology use in higher education delivery.

These factors will not only impact the training and use of adjunct faculty but will continue to raise questions related to legal, ethical and professional issues pertinent to academia.

This review is from: Managing Adjunct & Part Time Faculty for the New Millennium (Paperback)
With today's increased employment of part-time faculty members, it is critical for institutions to install programming that maximizes their effectiveness. This book focuses on sound orientation practices, development of teaching and classroom management skills, ethical and legal issues, and other key factors impacting the success of adjunct faculty. It's a must for deans and department chairs who rely on part-time faculty members to deliver a significant component of their instruction.
