Keep this book on your desk at work! It was a great resource when I was confronting practical management challenges. I recommend it especially for all new managers.

Of limited use. Not nearly as comprehensive as title implies. Expected more from very good source. Best on HR-related issues.

As a person very new to management issues I am not comparing this book to several on the topic. It is the first of a genre and topic that I have actually read. And the reasons are in my headline. Other books on the topic that I skimmed or sat down with every intention of reading either bored me to death, did not resonate with my reality. But Alison Greene's book grabbed me by the throat and held my attention.
