Good intro to software project management,

Lustman has captured the essence of managing software projects. His is a practical, rather than theoretical, approach to a complex subject. Practical rules of thumb and guidelines on how to manage software projects from beginning(when a client asks for something) to end (when the "something" is delivered and the project is ended). This is recommended reading for the novice software project manager or for a seasoned manager who wants to "brush up on things."
