5.0 out of 5 stars Great buy!
This is a complete review of multicultural organizations, very useful for MBA students. The delivery was as expected and the book met all my needs.

2.0 out of 5 stars How can there be so many grammatical errors in the 8TH edition!?, April 11, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I must agree with one of the other reviewers in regard to the abundance of grammatical errors. It mystifies me how there could be so many errors in this - the 8th edition - of a book! In addition to grammatical errors there are frequent repeating sentences. For example the author may end one paragraph with a sentence, and then the next paragraph begins with the same sentence...this is not a transition! The content itself is very thorough - perhaps overly thorough, especially in the excessive number of statistics. Statistics stop being useful when perhaps four pages of a thirty page chapter are literally bullet-point lists of statistics. Overall, I believe I am learning from this book, but am certain there are a dozen other books that can do a better job in a more concise way. Perhaps edition 9 will be the lucky number?

If you're buying this book you probably don't have a choice because it's a required text for your class. However, it is full of grammar errors and punctuation mistakes. It also appears very one-sided on some issues. If you can help it, don't buy it.

1.0 out of 5 stars White Men are Evil., November 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book goes to the heart of what is wrong with this country. I am an adult (40+) taking college classes online. This book is poorly printed; try highlighting and the ink smears. Also, the author repeatedly quotes studies conducted by her favorite researcher; HERSELF!!! The author is a Professor (I assume with tenure) at a university in San Francisco. BOOK SUMMARY: White men (excuse me, Euro-American males) are evil. Republicans hate minorities and poor people. If you send your children to college, you should read this book. As managers, we should have different standards for each individual based on their race and sex as we are all different and should all be granted "special" consideration. This book hurts legitimate diversity programs. Ridiculous drivel!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars BOOK IS COUNTERFEIT!, January 14, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
REALIZED THIS BOOK WAS COUNTERFEIT WHEN I TRIED TO TRADE IT IN. ISBN NUMBERS ON BOOK DO NOT MATCH WHAT WAS ORDERED. THIS EXPLAINS THE GRAMMAR ERRORS. I WILL BE RETURNING FOR MONEY BACK AND MAKING A CLAIM.

1.0 out of 5 stars Quality of this test book is poor, October 30, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is one of the poorest written textbooks I have EVER encountered. There are so many punctuation and grammar errors in the book it is hard to focus on the actual subject matter. In addition, for a book that was just released under a new edition, why are they still citing such old material on a subject that is so current. Seriously, why are we focusing on material from the early 1990's regarding the cultural makeup and economy from that era--times have changed DRASTICALLY since then!

4.0 out of 5 stars Okay book, February 11, 2009
I was required to purchase this book for my class.
It has many terms and concepts people use in diversity management.
Could be a good book to have if you are really interested in the field.

4.0 out of 5 stars diversity, April 13, 2011
I am very happy with the book even though I am not so happy with the class but oh well. The book arrived when it was supposed to in better than I expected shape. I really appreciate that in a book as I am an avid reader and respect books.

4.0 out of 5 stars Will buy again., August 8, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought the book new. I recieved it in four days. It was in perfect condition. Although the book is rather dry, that is not the fault of the vendor. I will continue to buy text books using Amazon. The prices are 40-70% less than the school bookstore.
