Excellent resource for any manager. If you work within the world of project management this book is a must. This text was the primary sources of a management course I am taking and although I had an electronic version, I purchased the book in hard copy becuase I recognized its utility from a tactical and strategic perspective.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great information, July 30, 2009

This review is from: Managing Risk in Organizations: A Guide for Managers (Jossey-Bass Business & Management) (Hardcover)
This is an excellent addition for any Project Management bookshelf. It clearly explains topics that are only mentioned in the PMBOK. The explanations and examples simplified the concepts of Monte Carlo Simulation and Expected Monetary Value (EMV). The book has a conversational tone and is easily understood. The examples, while simple, illustrate concepts in real-world terms. It also includes a section on quality and explains Control Charts simply and effectively.

This is a great book and will remain a permanent part of my library.
