This book is a very comprehensive guide to moving. Cathryn is very through and leaves no stone unturned. The book is very well organized and easy to read. A must read for anyone anticipating a move now or in the future.

The premise of this book is that it is possible to manage your move rather than have your MOVE manage YOU. The book is filled with pragmatic advice collected by the author, who clearly has moved many times and learned many lessons along the way. The tone is upbeat and empowering, but also reflects honestly on situations that didn't go as well as planned, with suggestions based on these experiences. Companies would do well to offer this book to employees who are asked to relocate!

As a young professional about to be relocated for work, I was excited by the reviews saying it was a must have for relocating employees. While the book is fantastic, over 60% of the book is devoted to marketting and selling your house, as well as buying a new house and everything that is involved with that. Unfortunately, if you're like me and don't own a house, those sections aren't useful at all. So just be mindful of your position in your life and if those chapters are necessary or not. Otherwise you might want to stick with something else that will be more useful.
