Very good overview of Healthcare Informatics!
I am just starting a degree program in Healthcare Informatics and this book gave a very good overview of the basics. What the standards are, how hospital informatics systems are set up. Very readable.

Great service, old book
This book is old and somewhat out-of-date. Just a FYI that you may need to do outside research because healthcare technology has changed dramatically since this book was published. As far as service, timely shipping and the book was in great condition.

I am in grad school and this is one of my required texts. I will say that after having had it for a couple of months now, the information is relevant to the class and easy to read. The price for all my textbooks were better on Amazon. I just searched using the ISBN number to make sure I had the right one.
