The photos in this book were some of the best I've seen. The text was simple yet very informative. Every manatee fan should have this one in their library.

Rei Ohara has taken some of the finest photos of these gentle underwater giants that I have ever seen! This book is especially valueable as a visual aid for research projects. I highly recommend it to anyone who apprecitates these endangered creatures.

This book contained some of the best manatee photographs that I have ever seen. The text was general, and there wasn't much of it, but it is the perfect size for someone just learning about manatees. *Pictures, pictures, pictures!!*

The book contains a few pages of basic information about manatees and some facts in picture captions but readers who want a thorough understanding are better to look at Manatees by James Powell. There are many photos and some with really cute poses, but the printing is very dark and sometimes they are not sharply in focus. I have seen books with better photos which more accurately show the crystal clear, azure blue world of the FLorida Manatee

I just read the book called MANATEE. I thought this book was very good because it has tons of information all about manatees. The book has great photographs, I think the photographs are the best part of the book but MANATEES still has lots of reading information. I think the book is great for learning. The book goes from history to what they look like. The book has all sorts of information. I liked this book and I think people ages 9 and up would like it too. I really do recommend the book MANATEES.
