Weird,

This is weird poetry. It might be groundbreaking but I suggest we will not know that for many years to see if it does break ground for a new foundation or if it is just shoveling to hit the waterline. Waldman is powerful in person but just reading this work is bizarre. If you like that kind of thing, great! But it is not for me

They share the earth with us, but do we truly understand them? "Manatee/Humanity" is a collection of poetry from Anne Waldman, who presents a collection of poetry focusing on the relationships that mankind has with the animal kingdom. Drawing inspiration from evolution, animal empathy, and all things that link humans with the rest of their animal brethren, "Manatee/Humanity" is an intriguing work of verse, sure to make many a reader ponder their roots.
