Cunningham is the author of another book about mandalas and had a one-person show of her paintings in western Washington, where she lives.

This book isn't just about pretty pictures of mandalas. It's about the history of and philosophy/ideas behind them. Very enlightening. The author draws into the discussion both recent advancements in science, math, philosophy as well as discusses the implications thereof. Highly recommended.
